Personnage attachant et bon vivant il recevait de nombreux visiteurs lui demandant de pousser la chansonnette ce qu'il faisait volontiers . Francis Chaminade fut un collecteur privilégié, très proche de M. Brégère celui ci lui a confié, au début des années 80, l'intégralité de son répertoire dont voici un aperçu . Quelques nhorles, des chansons françaises (Patachou, Lucienne Delyle, Alibert ..), des chansons de soldats, des chansons traditionnelles, des chansons grivoises, des airs de danse ... et même une chanson dédiée au "Chavilhier" le groupe dont faisait alors partie M.
