René nous a chanté plusieurs chansons et dit quelques histoires dont quelques unes des fameuses histoires de Camille Barret, bien connues dans la région. Informateur de qualité, nous sommes revenus le voir à plusieurs reprises, notamment pour qu'il nous initie aux règles de la Bourre, jeu de carte beaucoup pratiqué jusque dans les années 70. Enquêtes réalisées auprès de M. Albert Nauche à son domicile au village des Plats sur la commune du Lonzac le 25 mai 2009 et le 26 février 2010. De passage à la mairie du Lonzac au printemps 2009, alors que nous étions à la recherche d'informateurs locaux pour réaliser une enquête en occitan sur la toponymie de la commune, le maire, Henri Jammot, nous a gentiment conduit chez Albert Nauche en nous assurant que nous aurions là une personne ressource hors pair. Et il est vrai que ce fut pour nous une belle rencontre qui ne s'est pas arrêtée à un simple enregistrement toponymique tant le personnage était avenant et disert ! Albert Nauche était avant tout un remarquable chanteur au répertoire extrêmement riche. Excellent interprète il possédait un grand sens de la mise en scène qui a fait de lui un animateur régulièrement demandé dans les noces, banquets, festivités, thés dansants de son pays jusqu'aux dernières années de sa vie. Originaire du centre de la Corrèze où la tradition chansonnière est restée étonnamment vivace, Albert Nauche semblait avoir un répertoire inépuisable mêlant chansons de traditions (principalement en occitan), chansons de chansonniers locaux (notamment celles d'Antoine Paucard), chansons françaises de la première moitié du XXème siècle et chansons de sa composition. Ces enregistrements se sont effectués en présence de son voisin et complice Henri Malagnoux et d'Andrée Nauche, la soeur d'Albert.
